Our Team Spotlight

Matthew Joplin

Engagement Manager, SOCOM

What is your background?

My education took me to Brevard College on a baseball scholarship, where I played on the team for four years and graduated with an Integrated Studies Education degree in Physical Education and Sports Management. After college, I joined the Army, and in 2005 attended the United States Army Counter Intelligence Agents Course at Fort Huachuca, and was stationed at Schofield Barracks Hawaii. In 2006, I returned to Fort Huachuca to attend the Army HUMINT School to be certified as an interrogator. I spent over eight years between active duty and reserves with dual MOS as 97B and 97E, and two deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

What would you say is your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement in life is marrying my wife Amanda and raising our two amazing boys Mattson and Wesson.

What is your favorite part about working for TMPC?

After some unexpected complications with Mattson’s birth, and a long and difficult journey to adopt Wesson, it became apparent to me that the support from TMPC team members during this time was above and beyond what an average company would give. This is my favorite TMPC quality.

Why should someone join the TMPC team?

TMPC is not just a company hiring people to do a job. TMPC is a close knit family that starts with the company President and extends to the newest hire. TMPC places family first. If you’re looking for a company that not only has professionals in the Intelligence and Cyber disciplines, and extensive backgrounds in all branches of the United States Military, but also cares for the employee as a whole, then TMPC is the company for you.

Amanda Gorski

Engagement Manager, JCSE

What is your background?

My professional career began in 2002 when I joined the USMC as an Intelligence Analyst.
Though Intel was my primary duty, I always had a dual billet as a security officer through the course of my Marine Corps career. After transitioning out of the military, I took a position as Facility Security Officer, and I have been focusing on security ever since in locations such as Iraq, Virginia, DC, Florida, and Silicon Valley. In 2011, I decided to curve my focus toward cybersecurity. I went back to college for my Bachelor of Arts in Information Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in September, 2018 from Strayer University and began working for TMPC Inc. in April, 2019.

What would you say is your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement to date has been raising two beautiful daughters and being able to learn and grow with them. My family is the most important part of my life.

What is your favorite part about working for TMPC?

My favorite thing about working for TMPC is being able to learn and grow at an exponential rate. Cybersecurity is not a focused field, so being able to explore various aspects, such as medical field technologies, has been extremely rewarding.

Why should someone join the TMPC team?

For anyone interested in joining the TMPC team, I would definitely encourage you to apply. TMPC offers excellent opportunities, and you get to part of team that is rapidly expanding.

Michael Nelson

Chief Strategy Officer

What is your background?

I’m a former Marine. I flew KC-130s and was a MAG Logistics Officer before joining the Commandant’s Staff and flying Gulfstream. I studied History at St. Olaf College in Minnesota and subsequently received an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

What would you say is your greatest achievement?

My greatest achievement is being a father to three incredible young men, and a husband for over 25 years to my magnificent college sweetheart, Nicole.

What is your favorite part about working for TMPC?

I was drawn to TMPC for several reasons: The tiered prioritization of clients, employees, then company matches my own mission-driven background and desire to create a great company where I can both work and grow. I also admire TMPC’s audacious goals, and that each stage of growth adds to our benefits package, so everybody shares in the wins.

Why should someone join the TMPC team?

For those considering joining the TMPC team, I would say it is the place for you if you enjoy a challenging work environment where you have great latitude to accomplish your mission; if you want to work for a company that cares about you and rewards you; and if you’re interested in continuing your professional development and pursuing ever greater challenges.
